STAR★Methods Introduction Glycosylation is one of the most prevalent post-translational modifications of proteins. It not only plays major roles in folding, transport and localization of proteins [1], but also regulates various biological processes such as cell growth, viral replication and im

  2022-08-05

Here, we studied GLUT1-targeted nanomedicines as a new strategy directed to overcome vascular barrier, enhancing delivery and efficacy in solid tumors. These nanomedicines were prepared by controlled installation of glucose on polymeric micelles incorporating the antitumor agent cisplatin, which is

It was recently reported that aged GHSR−/− mice, in addition to showing alterations in meal pattern microstructure, exhibit NPY and AgRP mRNA upregulation in the ARC [56]. After an overnight fast, our animals exhibited a similar pattern of upregulated NPY and AgRP mRNA expression. Given that GHSR1a

Psoriasis is an inflammatory skin disease characterized by epidermal hyperplasia; micro-abscesses; neo-angiogenesis; a proinflammatory cytokine environment involving alterations of IL-17A, IL-23, and TNF-α; and activation of and infiltration by macrophages, mast cells, neutrophils, CD11c+ dendritic

Based on the above presumption, activation of Sox11 and FAK might be beneficial for alleviating the VILI. Previous studies have showed the relevance of Sox11 or FAK up-regulation with improvement of tissue injury. For example, over-expression of Sox11 protected and improved the tissue function or st

The third group also included samples belonging to subjects with undetectable viraemia, for which the negative or persistence of the indeterminate WB result in subsequent samples indicated a non-HIV infection. In this subgroup, the VITROS HIV Combo test (as well as the other two tests) was negative

The H2R antagonist cimetidine (Tagamet™) became the first billion-dollar drug in the 1980s for the treatment of peptic ulcer disease. Other H2R antagonists include ranitidine, famotidine, nizatidine, and zolantidine, the latter showing good BBB penetration with a steady-state brain/blood ratio of 1.

Histamine H4R The cloning of the H3R (Lovenberg et al., 1999) provided a template for the search of other Vinorelbine receptors, and resulted in the most recent discovery of histamine H4R. This concluded with six independent groups that have reported the cloning of the H4R (Leurs et al., 2009, L

Several studies have also suggested that Wnt signalling can in turn stimulate the transcriptional activity of Yap/Taz (Figure 2, Figure 3). In the Azzolin model, Yap/Taz not only block β-catenin signalling, but their association with Axin1 and/or β-catenin also maintains them in an inactivate state

Immunohistochemical evaluation of gastric cancer tumor samples revealed that 57.8% (59/101) were positive for GLI1, and 71.3% (72/101) stained positive for SHH [27]. Overexpression of SHH and GLI1 protein were significantly associated with larger tumor size, tumor aggressiveness, and less differenti

Finally, we find that in the absence of Aurora B, Sgo1 is delocalized from centromeres and found along chromosome arms, as reported after depletion of Bub1 (Kitajima et al., 2005, Riedel et al., 2006). The increased arm cohesion observed in the absence of Aurora B activity is dependent on the presen
